Arete Therapeutics Extends Series A Round

HAYWARD, CA -- Arete Therapeutics Inc. announced the extension of its series A round, receiving an additional $35 million, bringing the company's total funding to $51 million.

Arete is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small molecule compounds directed at novel targets for cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases.

Investors in the round were led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures and Alta Partners, and included existing investors Three Arch Partners, Burrill & Company and Altitude Life Science Ventures.
